For the National Fleet, how and where vehicles are upfitted generally depends on variety of factors including the type of vehicle, the equipment installed, the final destination, etc. For many customers, fleet “ship through” programs are the most effective upfit option. But, for some fleets, the fleet manager may also need to consider any preparation, assembly or installation of equipment that needs to be done at or near the final destination because the upfit was not compatible with standard transportation options associated with the OEM ship through process.
